Privacy policy

Who we are

The Wider Effect is a service of Luminair Systems Pty Ltd. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website.

What we collect

When you contact us, we collect the details you choose to send: your name, role, organisation, email, phone and message.

When you book or pay, our booking and payment providers collect the details needed to complete your booking. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

We use privacy-friendly website analytics that do not use cookies or identify you.

The calculators

Figures you enter in our calculators stay in your browser. They are not sent to us or stored on our website. When you share a calculator link, the figures travel inside the link itself, so anyone you send it to can see them.

How we use it

We use your information only to respond to you, deliver services you have booked, and keep records required by law. We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t add you to marketing lists without your consent.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run this website and our business, including website hosting (Cloudflare), enquiry forms (FormSubmit), payments (Stripe), booking and email services (Microsoft). Some of these providers may store information outside Australia.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing welcome@widereffect.com.au. If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, contact us first and we’ll respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
