These terms apply to paid sessions with The Wider Effect, a service of Luminair Systems Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”): the Confidential Strategy Session and the Facilitated Workshop and Discovery Session. Larger engagements, such as pilots, operating reviews and regional programs, are covered by a separate written agreement or your council’s purchase order terms.
A Confidential Strategy Session is a 60-minute session with a written summary of your top three priorities within three business days.
A Facilitated Workshop and Discovery Session includes a pre-read of the plans and data you share, a facilitated half-day workshop with your team (in person or online) on the topic you choose, and a written Discovery Summary within 10 business days of the workshop.
The Confidential Strategy Session costs $575 excluding GST ($632.50 including GST). The Facilitated Workshop and Discovery Session costs $4,700 excluding GST ($5,170 including GST), plus travel if held in person. All prices on this website exclude GST unless stated. We issue a tax invoice with our ABN for every payment.
You can pay by card through Stripe’s secure checkout, or request an invoice or purchase order. Card payments are suitable for council purchasing cards, subject to your council’s own procurement and card policies. We never see or store your card details.
Invoices are payable within 14 days unless your council’s purchase order terms say otherwise. We schedule the session once payment is received or a purchase order is issued.
We’ll contact you within two business days of payment to agree a date. You can reschedule free of charge up to five business days before the session. Later changes are accommodated where possible, once per booking.
If you cancel more than five business days before the session, we’ll refund your payment in full, or hold it as a credit if you prefer. If you cancel within five business days, we’ll hold the full amount as a credit towards a rescheduled session or other work with us for 90 days. Once the session has been delivered, the fee is not refundable.
If we need to cancel, we’ll offer a new date or a full refund. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
The full fee for a paid session is credited against further work for the same council or organisation when that work is engaged within 90 days of the session. The credit can’t be exchanged for cash or transferred to another organisation, and belongs to the organisation, not to an individual.
Online sessions include no travel costs. For in-person sessions, travel and accommodation are charged at cost and agreed with you before booking.
We treat everything you share as confidential and use it only to deliver your session. We are happy to sign a mutual confidentiality agreement, or your council’s own. We recognise that councils may need to disclose information under their statutory obligations, such as Right to Information requests and audit.
Your council owns its data. Your written summary is yours to use within your organisation. Our methods, frameworks, tools and templates, including the Holdfast Method™, the Event Lever Map, Priority Levers and the organiser resource packs, remain the intellectual property of Luminair Systems Pty Ltd.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for a paid session is limited to the fee paid for that session.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
